The hosting service works fine, although we have a very low volume of traffic (less then 500mb a month).
Unfortunately, from time to time, every few days, our email would stop arriving. We wouldn't actually loose any mail, but email would be delayed by as much as an hour sometimes.
We complained about this to Ixwebhosting a few times through their online live chat help. No resolution came, even though I even contacted them at the moment when our email was NOT working - so they could experience the problem as well during 'live chat' help.
Later I recieved an email saying that they tested our email, and that we have no problem and that ticket has been 'resolved' (not!). Just like every previous time. They know it is an intermittent problem and they check once in a blue moon and based on that conclude that everything is fine.
So email problems stay unresolved.
Too bad, it seemed like a good deal and a good place for one's hosting needs.

I also had a problem with their email... if you plan to manage your own newsletters or email users about policy changes - forget about this host! If your domain trys to sends more than 200 emails their opentranfer mail server will block and not deliver. Sometime only 30 or 40 email actaully get delivered. They told me several different ways to fix this problem. One was to send less than 200 per hour; this did not work - do not beleive this idea. I've work with them for three months regarding with no true results. I'am now being told to contract a seperate email service provider. It's true! You get what you pay for...

I am finding many complains about ixwebshoting and hostdepartment. I wanted to try them now. I will surely come up with possible solution and see to it that these people wont cheat by over advertising and self reviewing anymore. For affected people I would strongly recommend to take a printout of the terms and service page when you make the payment with your host. If anything goes wrong with the promiss or with the assurance - file or report a complaint to BBB - Better Business Beuro. Websites are fine, but email is not. We've had four email outages in two weeks, the latest for almost six hours. Been with them for only a month, but if this is an indication of their reliability we won't stay. They don't seem to take seriously their responsibility to the clients who depend on their services.

I have been with them for about 9 months. We only started having issues with email. We host several domains with them, and most emails are setup as forwarder. Over the past couple of months, the forwards stop working. This time it has stopped and has been down almost 48 hours! Phone support is a joke, beside getting someone who can barley speak English, they told me 'just give a us a liitle more time', I asked can you send me a status notification. I was told, 'Sorry you will have to call back!' and as I was on hold for over 50 minutes, that is not likely! Unless, you want to host just a couple of static html pages and reliable email is not an issue, then this is a good host. If you want to get email, I would suggest someone else. I am currently looking for new host. Bye Bye IXwebhosting. I be wondering if I can sue for breach of contract?

Disgusted.
This company shut down my site several times in the space of a few weeks, then told me to upgrade if I wanted the problem fixed.
I upgraded and one week later they shut down the site again.
I have now moved all my sites and domains over to another hosting company and will never return to these monkeys.
If you value your web site, stay away from these people.

I'm publishing a site for a client on ixwebhosting.com Opened a trouble ticket hours ago; slow or no response. Actually, while writing this I got a response. It did not address my question, but at least I got a response!
Security issue? I don't like it when you can only transfer files over ftp. I don't like it that directories and files must be world writable for php to read and write to files. Idon't like MySQL wide open to the internet where username and passwords fly around the net in the clear. I'm don't care for it when register_globals is on by default instead of off by default. Seems rather amatuer hour to me.

IXWEBHOSTING.COM had been hacked on Saturday September 29 2007. Since this date we are waiting for they make backups of our websites. I had 'Unlimited Pro' account with them after 6 months (after the number of my visitors growed). THEY DID DIRECTLY AND WIHTOUT ANY WARNINGS SUPSPEND MY ACCOUNT!! If you have more than 500 vistiors a day, IXWEBHOSTING WILL SUSPEND YOU and the most bad thing is- in the beginning, you will read 'ACCOUNT SUPSENDED' and they put their own material ADVERTISING WITH SEX-LINKS ON YOUR WEBSITE!!!
DONT BELIVE WHAT THEY SAY!!! DONT BELIVE ON MONEY BACK GUARANTEE- YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOU MONEY AGAIN!!

DO NOT USE. We had okay service for a while, but two weeks ago they lost a lot of my mail, after telling me that it was just delayed. Now my email, which I use for my business, is delayed for hours and hours and they can do nothing to help! They say they are moving everything to another state,, but I don't believe anything they say, at all. DO NOT USE. I spent today looking for a new host

I am having issues with very slow websites. I host a few sites on ixwebhosting server and I have at least one problem per day. when i try to report via ticketing system, It takes about 24 hours for the ticket to be resolved. Most of the time they resolve the ticket. They misdirect me with questions and answers to questions I did not even ask. I am very frustrated. It sucks that I paid for an entire year.
